Our Story

Hi! I'm Angela. Gaming runs in my blood. My childhood was filled with card nights and board games alongside my grandparents, parents, and sisters —traditions I'm now passing down to my own family.

My mahjong story began while living in Singapore in 2021-2022, when a viewing of Crazy Rich Asians sparked my curiosity of the game. It wasn't until early 2026 that I actually learned to play. My neighbor introduced me to American Mahjong, and "Mahjong Mondays" quickly became a neighborhood favorite, drawing a growing group of women hungry for connection and fun.

After years working for others, I realized I wanted something of my own —something creative, joyful, and rooted in social connections. A mahjong parlor felt like the perfect answer. Add my love of champagne, and Clink Mahjong Social was born. My goal is to to build a gathering place where games matter, friendships flourish, and every hand tells a story.

At Clink Mahjong Social, we pair a love for a timeless game with the joy of a good glass of champagne. We’re building a warm, lively community right here in Naperville where you can unwind, laugh, and celebrate friendships—both old and new—around the mahjong table.

Whether you’ve never touched a tile in your life or you’re a seasoned player looking for a regular game night, you’ve got a seat at our table. We offer friendly, expert-led American Mahjong lessons (following official NMJL rules), host relaxing open play sessions, and curate a collection of gorgeous custom tiles and accessories. Expect a welcoming crowd, a little friendly competition, and a whole lot of fun.

Coming Fall 2026: Our Permanent Home!

Clink Mahjong Social is getting its very own doors! We are currently building out a bright, beautiful studio and boutique champagne bar inside the historic 5th Avenue Station in Naperville.

Soon, you’ll have a permanent spot to drop in for open play, host private celebrations, book table reservations, and sip delicious bubbles with great company. We can’t wait to welcome you home!
